Low-cost airline Wizz Air is accelerating its expansion to become a 500-aircraft company

EUROPE. gateretail – a division of airline catering and inflight specialist gategroup – and low-cost carrier Wizz Air have renewed their inflight retail contract for five more years.

The extended agreement sees gateretail continue to manage the full inflight retail programme for Wizz Air, which is accelerating its expansion to reach 500 aircraft.

The partners said that Wizz Air will continue to benefit from gateretail’s retail and digital services to provide a fully connected galley and retail platform inflight.

The extended agreement is based on the current partnership’s profitability, growth potential, tangible digital transformation and common vision for ancillary contribution, the partners said.
