GERMANY. At a ceremony attended by 200 guests at Frankfurt Airport recently, Gebr Heinemann has presented its redesigned Boss shop – now the German fashion house’s largest European airport shop.
The refurbishment saw floor space doubled at the store, which – with sales equating to €20,000 per sq m per year – is also the best-performing Boss airport outlet anywhere in the world in terms of sales per sq m.
Gebr Heinemann presented the 250sq m Boss outlet as a “˜latest-generation’ store in the Terminal One landside area.

High-quality materials have been used to make the interior shine, while walnut has been used to create a contrast to the white surfaces, stainless steel and glass. From the matching sets to the clothes sizes, the range of products has been specially tailored to meet the needs of travellers. The Black, Selection and Orange lines are accompanied by accessories, shoes, bags and travel equipment. Eyewear, watches and fragrances complement the range.
“The secret of this shop’s success is based on the excellent products of the international Boss brand, our qualified team and our expertise in the travel market,” said Gebr Heinemann Board Member Raoul Spanger.
The co-operation between the Hamburg-based travel retail specialist and Boss at Frankfurt Airport has been a success story for almost 15 years. Germany’s leading gateway was the first to host a Boss shop at a European airport.
