USA. Houston Airport System has announced the openings of iShoppes Duty Free and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at George Bush Intercontinental Airport’s recently upgraded Terminal D-West Pier.

The iShoppes duty-free store delivers an engaging retail experience, enhanced by vibrant high-definition LED animated graphics to draw customers in. It showcases an array of premium fragrances, wines & spirits and renowned international brands.
The terminal’s dining options now include Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, featuring its signature crispy fried chicken and chicken sandwich.
Houston Airports Assistant Director of Concessions Libby Hurley said: “These openings highlight our dedication to transforming what it means to travel through Houston airports. From high-end retail to beloved dining, we are creating spaces where travellers can feel indulged, cared for, and connected to the heart of Houston.”
As reported, the Terminal D-West Pier opened on 22 October featuring 16 retail and dining concepts and six new gates (D1 through D6) capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft.
The expanded facility forms part of the existing Terminal D, representing a key milestone in the US$1.46 billion IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program.
Upcoming openings in 2025 include an additional iShoppes duty-free store, Hip and Humble, Urban Crave and popular local eatery Velvet Tacos.
The concepts were launched just in time for the busy holiday travel season, providing passengers with a diverse range of shopping and dining options.
