Givenchy and CDFG unveil ‘Givenchy Beauty Box’ in Hainan

The Givenchy beauty outpost carries strong visibility, with a bold statement in black and red

CHINA. LVMH-owned beauty and fragrance house Givenchy has partnered with The China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to launch a beauty pop-up at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Hainan Island.

The Givenchy Beauty Box was officially opened on 1 October and highlights two of Givenchy’s best-selling lines, Le Rouge and Prisme Libre. It will run until the end of October.

One of the highlights is an interactive digital wall display that invites customers to enter their names to see a personalised powder explosion. The visual lasts for 30 seconds, allowing for plenty of time for customers to take photos.

The pop-up shines the light on Givenchy’s recently-launched Le Rouge Deep Velvet lipstick collection. It was developed by Givenchy’s Makeup and Colour Artistic Director Nicolas Degennes and has been extended to include eight new colours and a limited-edition shade.

The new lipstick shades are L’Interdit No.36 vermillion, Grenat Fumé No.38, Rose Flanelle No.13, Nude Cendré No.11, Nude Rosé No.12, Framboise Velours No.26, Rouge Infusé No.27, Rouge Initié No.35, and the limited-edition Rose Fusain No.51, which is exclusively available online.

In addition, the Le Rouge Graine No.27 has also been relaunched in a new leather lipstick case. To highlight the luxury appeal of the line, Givenchy has also revealed ten new lipstick cases in black leather and suede variations. The cases are grouped into three collections: The Catwalk Edition, The Belted Edition and The Studded Edition.

Le Rouge Deep Velvet delivers intense matte colour with a pigment-rich formula and mattifying powder texture

The Catwalk Edition features a floral print inspired by Givenchy’s fall 2019 runway show, while The Belted Edition features a genuine leather belt-loop which enables customers to attach the lipstick case to their waist as an accessory. The Studded Edition features silver-tone embellishments that were inspired by Givenchy’s design codes.

The pop-up also highlights Givenchy’s Le Prisme Libre, Ressource and L’Intemporel Blossom product lines. Le Prisme Libre is a loose setting powder that combines four complementary shades, to create a flowing complexion refining finish.

Ressource is Givenchy’s new 96% natural-origin hydrating skincare range, while L’Intemporel Blossom is a skincare line that has been formulated with an exclusive blend of angelica extract, pink berries and vitamin C to boost skin radiance.
