LATIN AMERICA. Leading travel retailer London Supply has raised an astonishing US$990,228 in funds for charity at its 14th annual golf tournament. The London Supply Cup was held in Club de Lago, Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The Experimental Provincial School ‘Las Gaviotas’, in Ushuaia, will be the beneficiary. The school was built in 2003 and fosters art, teamwork and proactive learning, said London Supply. Its ethos is to encourage reasoning based on understanding rather than memory, noted the retailer. The school plans to move to new premises and the funds will assist in building on a plot of land donated by the Municipality of Ushuaia.

The London Supply Cup is a highlight of the industry social calendar in South America and the company hailed the generosity of the players who take part.
The company said: “This donation will allow us to continue to give equal opportunities, our main objective, always focusing on ‘giving more where there is less’.”
