Godiva gets expressive with new collection of chocolate messages

Godiva Chocolatier will introduce its 2014 novelties and the promotional programme underpinning their launch at the upcoming IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas (stand number: 823).

The company’s Americas Travel Retail team, led by Travel Retail Regional Manager Americas/Caribbean Diane Buchanan, will present three new collections: Créations Praliné, Messages Tout Chocolat and the Godiva Biscuit collection.

Messages Tout Chocolat, the first new launch for 2014, is a travel retail exclusive gift box designed to “express good feelings to someone”, with the words “˜Zen’, “˜Luck’, “˜Love’ and “˜Joy’ printed on the chocolate pieces.

The launch of this new collection will be supported by interactive in-store activations featuring a special ball chair in the colours of the gift box, inviting travellers on a relaxing audio-visual experience. While sitting in a closed environment an application will allow them to enjoy a moment of “˜Zen’, “˜Luck’, “˜Love’ and “˜Joy’ – the collection’s key messages – and share it via a personal message to a special someone.

Créations Praliné, also a travel retail exclusive that will launch during the second half of the year, contains 18 chocolates made from four new recipes inspired by Godiva’s secret praliné recipe. The handcrafted chocolates are packaged in a gold gift box.

Godiva has redesigned its Biscuits collection by introducing new packaging with gold European destination stamping. To present the new design, selected shop floors will be decorated with a branded podium with a big globe as a centrepiece.

These 2014 launches will roll out alongside Godiva’s global travel retail concept across the Americas, which will see a new opening in Toronto during the first quarter of 2014.

Buchanan said: “We are delighted to open a customised space with our very own discovery table, a reflection of our in-store design [that allows] all travellers to live a unique Godiva shopping experience.”
