FRANCE. Travel retailer Aelia has reported that sales of Godiva Chocolatier at the Eurostar zone of Paris Gare du Nord station, France, rose +25% above initial projections following the opening of the new gastronomy shop in March.
Godiva has been allocated a 35sq m (376sq ft) shop to sell its range of Belgian chocolates and gifts.
Godiva Travel Retail Manager South Europe William Legallais said: “Thanks to the excellent partnership that Godiva enjoys with operator Aelia, we have been given superb exposure of this new shop.
“The passenger profile, which is mainly British with a good percentage of business travellers, is perfect for our brand.”
