The new Carré Collection packaging has been revamped and redesigned to bring a modern, contemporary look and feel |
BELGIUM. Godiva Chocolatier has further rejuvenated its core range with the new Carré Collection that will be shown for the first time at TFWA Asia Pacific (Stand number: F21).
Targeted at chocolate lovers and business travellers, the Carré Collection will be available to travel retail from September 2006.
The new range is described as a natural progression from Godiva’s Platinum and Truffles Collections introduced last year. It replaces Godiva’s Caraques, introducing new moulds, packaging and assortment. The recipe of the chocolate squares remains the same.
Godiva Business Director Sylvie Fiers explained: “This represents another important step in Godiva’s mission to contemporise and update its core chocolate range without compromising on the superb quality and taste of the original product.
“The Carré Collection – while retaining the excellent recipe of the Caraques – is in every other way a completely new product for Godiva and one which we are confident will appeal to a much wider audience: the original Caraque aficionado, and a new, younger, contemporary consumer.”
The name Carré (“square” in French) was chosen as it is more straightforward and directly linked to the product shape.
The new moulding incorporates the updated Lady Godiva logo and the packaging (both foil and boxes) has been revamped and redesigned to bring a modern, contemporary look and feel.
The new assortments are 36-piece Carrés Milk, 36-piece Carrés Dark 50%, 36-piece Carrés Dark 72%; 48-piece Dark Story (50%, 72% and 85% Dark) and 60-piece Full Assortment (Milk, 50%, 72% and 85% Dark).
