Great Hall Partners set to launch Denver International Airport Jeppesen Terminal commercial tenders

USA. Great Hall Partners is preparing to launch requests for proposals (RFP) for ten new concession spaces in Denver International Airport’s Great Hall.

The company is a group of partners selected for the development of the airport’s Great Hall revitalisation project. This will ultimately create 63,000sq ft of commercial space across 50 units.

The RFPs being released are for the first ten commercial units encompassing retail and food & beverage. “The goal is to create a travel experience that melds the culture of the city and region with new impulses, flavours and colours from around the globe; to inspire passengers to relax and to spend more time in the new airside experience,” the company said.

The Great Hall is located under the iconic tented roof of Denver Airport’s Jeppesen Terminal. It will be revamped over the next four years to relocate and enhance security, increase capacity, upgrade ageing infrastructure and enhance the customer experience through increased, improved and better-positioned concessions.

“With the launch of the RFP process, Great Hall Partners aims to inspire a new type of airport retailing, one that’s driven by the call to entrepreneurship and the spirit of the New American West,” said Great Hall Partners Chief Executive Officer Ignacio Castejon.

“These ambitions reflect the attitudes and interests of the people whom this terminal will serve: a fast-growing population that is smart, well-educated and adventurous, many of whom are frequent fliers with long dwell times and have high disposable income.”

Details of the RFPs will be unveiled at an informational event on 16 April (details below). Great Hall Partners will outline the RFP process and take questions. The partners encourage minority and small businesses participation.

“The goal is to create a travel experience that melds the culture of the city and region with new impulses, flavours and colours from around the globe,” says Great Hall Partners

“Our goal for the launch event is to share our vision for this project, spark enthusiasm, and ultimately inspire forward-thinking concessionaires to propose a mix of local, regional, national and global concepts for the new concession space,” said Castejon.

“With 61.4 million passengers and 19.7 million origin and destination (O&D) enplanements at Denver International Airport in 2017 alone, the new Great Hall design will present an incredible business opportunity for concessionaires.”

He added: “Denver’s passenger mix and demographics present a highly attractive customer segment for retailers, services and restaurateurs alike. We believe these passengers are ready to welcome new experiences into their airport.”

The informational event will take place from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on 16 April at Kimpton Hotel Born located at 1600 Wewatta Street in downtown Denver. Interested concessionaires can register to attend the event here.

The online application for the RFP process will open at rfp.greathallpartners.com following the event. The site will not be live, nor will materials be available prior to 16 April.
