BRAZIL. Grupo Fit has opened a second Fit Food eatery at São Paulo–Congonhas Airport in partnership with airport operator Aena Brazil.
Grupo Fit is a rising force in travel food & beverage across Brazil, with 66 stores in eight airports and many more in the pipeline.
As well as Fit Food, it manages brands including Living Heineken, Mr Bey, Casa Qualycon, Forneria Ouro Preto, Seara Gourmet and The Coffeeshop Nescafé.
As its name suggests, the 70sq m Fit Food concession at São Paulo–Congonhas Airport, located in the landside grand lobby, focuses on fresh food and healthy meals, including vegetarian and low-calorie snacks.
Aena Brazil Commercial Manager Diana Bokelmann told The Moodie Davitt Report: “Fit Food offers a wide range of quality healthy food which was a very strong need of our passengers, something that was not being fully covered by other existing operations.
“The design is simple but effective on delivering the healthy food offer. The grab & go element is strategically located so it can visually attract the passengers.”
Bokelmann revealed other landside food & beverage locations soon to open at the airport include a third Fit Food venue, sports bar A’dam Lounge, Italian restaurant Forneria and café Casa Qualycon.
She added: “Congonhas’ commercial offer is very much a ‘work in progress’ and we are progressing very fast on other fronts, including with airside concessions.”
One of 11 airports operated by Aena in Brazil, São Paulo–Congonhas served just over 22 million passengers in 2023.
