Guerlain creates new water world with Super Aqua-Serum collection – 21/07/05

FRANCE. Guerlain has revamped its Aquaserum hydrating line with a new, six-sku collection called Super Aqua-Serum. The products will begin rolling out from 1 September.

The range is said to contain active molecules which deeply moisturise and regenerate the skin, making it stronger and restoring its freshness, softness and youthful glow.

Reportedly inspired by the Atlas Blue cedar tree which, thanks to its sap, is able to survive in particularly arid and hostile environments, the cornerstone of the new Super Aqua-Serum collection is a so-called “vital essence”.

This is said to circulate through the various layers of the epidermis, to ensure optimum distribution of water. It delivers intensive hydration, which helps to replenish skin and build up its resistance to harsh external and internal stresses, according to Guerlain.

The Super Aqua-Serum line comprises a serum, two day creams, one night balm, a body lotion and a hand lotion. Each is presented in aquamarine-blue packaging.

The Serum, the star product, is available as a 30ml or 50ml, retailing domestically at €85 and €125, respectively.

The day products are a Comfort Day Crème SPF12 – for normal to dry skin – and a Day Gel Crème, for normal/combination skin types. The former, also available as a 30ml or 50ml, is priced at €60 and €85, respectively. The latter retails at €52 for a 30ml pot.

Super Aqua-Night, for all skin types, is priced at €70 for 30ml. Super-Aqua Hands SPF15 retails at €43 for 75ml; Super Aqua-Serum Body at €74 for 200ml.
