UAE. French beauty and fragrance house Guerlain has introduced the Absolus Allegoria collection with six eaux de parfums: Rose Amira, Santal Royal, Cuir Intense, Oud Essentiel, Epices Exquises and Patchouli Ardent.
Rose Amira is initially exclusively available with Dubai Duty Free until 15 March. The fragrance launch is supported by an animation at Dubai International Airport.
Guerlain hosted an event at the airport on 8 March to highlight the launch of Rose Amira, with Regional Fragrance Expert (Middle East & Africa) Bashar Hakeem.
Santal Royal, Cuir Intense, Oud Essentiel, Epices Exquises and Patchouli Ardent were launched domestically in the Middle East and Africa in February.
These five scents revamp Guerlain Absolus d’Orient fragrance, adopting hallmarks from formula to bottle.
Rose Amira is a new addition, featuring distilled rose petals blended with patchouli and synthetic musk compounds Vulcanolide and Helvetolide.
Guerlain Perfumer Delphine Jelk said: “Rose Amira is my vision of the magnificent and sensual rose in the secrecy of the night. A standing rose, facing the Moon, in a poetic and nocturnal fragrance.”
According to Guerlain the fragrance pays tribute to roses – “the queen of flowers, an icon of perfumery and an essential scent in Middle Eastern culture”.
The Absolus Allegoria scents are made from up to 90% natural-origin ingredients and formulated with beetroot alcohol from organic farming.
The packaging has adopted the Allegoria collection’s emblematic bottle, crafted in France using 15% recycled glass. The removeable spray pump and transparent lacquer encourage recycling.
All Absolus Allegoria scents will be available at Guerlain boutique stores from September at a recommended retail price of €186 (US$203) for a 125ml bottling. ✈
