Petit Churchills: Aromatic and balanced |
Habanos SA is to introduce Romeo y Julieta Petit Churchills cigars in an aluminium tube format in all markets worldwide in the coming weeks.
Following the introduction of Romeo y Julieta Petit Churchills in a 25-unit labelled box in 2012, this cigar format will be available worldwide soon in an aluminium tube in a three-unit case.
Petit Churchills (50 ring gauge x 102mm in length) is for smokers seeking an aromatic, balanced Habano flavour to be enjoyed in 20 minutes.
The cigar’s acceptance in different markets is due to the dimensions, the company said, as its ring gauge and moderate length give the cigar excellent combustibility and flavour nuances.
Described as a classic medium-bodied Habano, Romeo y Julieta offers the widest range of long filler, handmade sizes available in any Habano brand, and is made with selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone in Pinar del Río, Cuba.
Romeo y Julieta was created as a Habanos brand in 1875. Its roots lie in the literary tragedy of the same name by the British playwright William Shakespeare. Winston Churchill was one of the most devoted smokers of the Romeo y Julieta brand. Ever since his visit to Havana in 1946, his name has not only widely been used on Habanos, but also came to represent the best-known vitola (format) within the brand: Churchills by Romeo y Julieta.
