Habanos rolls out short-sized H. Upmann Half Corona cigar

The H. Upmann Half Corona begins its worldwide roll-out

Cuban cigar specialist Habanos s.a. has introduced the new H. Upmann Half Corona, a short-sized cigar for everyday smoking, as part of a worldwide roll-out.

The H. Upmann Half Corona cigar (44 ring gauge x 90mm in length) was presented at the 13th Habanos festival held in 2011 and it is arriving now for consumers around the world, the company said. It has a balanced, aromatic light to medium flavour.

The presentation comprises a labelled box of 25 units – already available – and an aluminum case with five units. The box, a signature feature of the brand, is decorated with images of the gold medals won in 11 international fairs during the 19th Century.

The blend is made with leaves from Vuelta Abajo in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. All H. Upmann Habanos are made by hand with long filler.

About H. Upmann

Herman Upmann was a German banker who moved to Cuba in 1840, where he founded a bank and a Habanos factory in 1844. The bank closed, but his cigar brand remains.
