Habanos SA launches special edition Añejados for two key brands

Cuban cigar house Habanos SA has unveiled two new Añejados for key brands Partagás and Hoyo de Monterrey.

Partagás Coronas Gordas Añejados (46 ring gauge x 143 mm long) and Hoyo de Monterrey Hermosos No 4 Añejados (48 ring gauge x 127 mm long) are presented as an Edición Especial (limited edition) in limited quantities for a short time only.

According to Habanos SA, the new line follows a concept introduced last year which features cigars that have already been rolled and aged in Cuba for five years or more in “perfect” conditions to ensure shades and complexity without the loss of organoleptic characteristics. The cigars become rounder and mellower to the palate through the ageing process, Habanos stated.

The Habanos Añejados are commercialised in their original boxes, with rings and labels added pre-launch. The date of the original rolling of the Habanos can be checked on the bottom of each box. A “Revisado” (checked) stamp indicates that the boxes have been opened and all the Habanos have been individually checked, Habanos said.

Partagás Coronas Gordas and Hoyo de Monterrey Hermosos No 4 Añejados will be available worldwide during the first quarter of 2016.
