UK. Harding+ is celebrating the opening of the first Liberty store at sea with the launch of a limited-edition Cunard x Liberty scarf. The store opened on Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2 ship in October 2022.
It offers the British department store and textile house’s best-selling items including silk pyjamas, purses and bags and two colour ways of the limited-edition scarf.
The Liberty store is operated by Harding+, Cunard’s long-term retail partner. More Liberty products will be launched on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria ships later in the year.

Cunard and Liberty have been partners since 1968, when they first launched a bespoke scarf called ‘Vacances’. The scarf was hand painted by Liberty Design Director Bernard Nevill and was reimagined in 1988 for Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2 ship.
The 2022 edition offers a modern twist on the classic scarf and spotlights joyful holiday scenes from the original design. It has an RRP of $350.
Cunard Vice President of Brand & Product Lee Powell commented, “We are delighted to celebrate the first-ever Liberty store at sea aboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2, and are especially excited to showcase this beautiful scarf designed exclusively for Cunard by Liberty’s talented team.” ✈
