Havana Club brings a corner of Cuba to Heathrow – 27/08/08

Passion: The promotion at London Heathrow Terminal 4 builds on Havana Club’s El Culto a la Vida campaign


UK. Pernod Ricard-owned rum brand Havana Club is running an in-store travel retail promotion at London Heathrow Terminal 4 this month, building on its El Culto a la Vida campaign.

The activity, which focuses on Añejo Reserva, Añejo Especial and Cuban Barrel Proof, features tastings and gwp promotions, to encourage consumers to trial and trade-up.

With every purchase of Añejo Reserva or Añejo Especial, customers receive a Havana Club torch keyring, and with every bottle of Cuban Barrel Proof, a set of two Havana Club tumblers.

The promotion has been running since 29 July 2008 and will continue until 30 August 2008.

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe Regional Marketing Manager John Smailes said the promotion was designed to reinforce the brand’s position as the authentic Cuban rum.

“The London Heathrow Terminal 4 site provides a fantastic platform to showcase the Havana Club range in such a visually stunning way,” he said.

“By utilising the impressive El Culto a la Vida campaign, we are able to convey the heritage and passion of Havana Club and reinforce its position as THE authentic Cuban rum. The promotion has proved to be a hit with travellers so far.”
