AUSTRALIA. In a major boost to its retail programme, Heinemann Duty Free has struck an agreement with JB Hi Fi as its exclusive technology partner at Sydney Airport from today.
Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams confirmed the six-and-a-half year agreement and said JB Hi Fi was a strong addition to the airport’s fast-growing retail proposition.
“It’s a big deal for JB,” he said. “They are the number one player in Australia within their field.
“Their major outlet will be in the Mega B Departures store, while they’re also placed in the Arrivals stores and in Pier B and Pier C. So they’re picking up a large format as well as having access to five other duty free locations within the terminal in both Arrivals and Departures.”
