Hershey’s World Travel Retail expands Greek duty free locations

The Hershey Company’s kiosk at Athens Airport provides a 360-degree display of Hershey’s products in the concourse

The Hershey Company has expanded its World Travel Retail programme in Greece with the opening of an island display at Athens International Airport.

The island is a kiosk with a 360-degree display of Hershey’s products in the airport concourse. The kiosk is adjacent to a duty free shop that also features the US brand’s products.

What started two years ago as gondola displays in a few Greek travel retail airport locations has grown into multiple branded displays in all the country’s airports and points of sale in all 40 outlets operated by Hellenic Duty Free Shops in Greece, the confectionery giant said.

“Hershey products have proven to be very popular in Greece, and we’re expanding Hershey’s retail presence across the country to meet the growing consumer demand,” said World Travel Retail General Manager Steve Bentz.

“Greece is the first European country to feature Hershey’s products in its duty free shops, and the Greek people and visitors to Greece have firmly embraced the Hershey brands,” Bentz added.

Hershey’s offers 36 products in Greek travel retail locations and the product mix is continuously refreshed to meet consumer needs.

Most popular products include Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Cookies “˜n’ Crème Giant Bars and Hershey’s Giant bars, as well as Hershey’s Kisses.

Hershey World Travel Retail works with Magister Artium Group as its exclusive distributor in Greece.

“The portfolio of Hershey’s products offers a new tasting experience to Greek and European customers,” said Magister Artium President Pantelis Velentzas.
