Heys enhances travel retail presence with Düsseldorf Airport opening

GERMANY. Innovative luggage brand Heys has extended its global travel retail footprint with the opening of its store at Düsseldorf Airport.

The opening, attended by brand ambassador and popular Let’s Dance judge and TV presenter Joachim Llambi, was marked with exclusive promotions.

Llambi said, “Travel is an important part of my life. And Heys has become perhaps my most beautiful follower. When I’m travelling with a Heys suitcase, many people want to know more about the design and the brand.

“The fact that Heys is also so well received in Germany and that the next store is now opening in such a prominent location shows that our brand partnership is working. The brand meets the needs of people on the move.”

Heys Country Manager Germany Brigitte Varvatsos commented, “You are welcome to visit us. In the public area on the departures level, everyone can now find the right luggage and counterpart – be it for business, vacation or a tote bag for a weekend trip.”

The store showcases the brand’s luggage range, including the super-light and robust Airlite Carry-on, designed to withstand impact forces of up to 1,814kg and meet airline cabin size requirements. The eco-friendly Heys ReNew collection, crafted from recycled PET bottles, is also available at the store.

Düsseldorf Airport CEO Lars Redeligx said, “Düsseldorf Airport is not only the starting point for our passengers to around 165 destinations in Germany and abroad. With its numerous shopping and dining options, it is also an attractive hotspot for visitors and customers in the region. As a sophisticated brand, Heys fits very well into our environment.”

Düsseldorf Airport Head of Commercial Anja Dauser added, “With Heys, the airport’s shopping mall has been enriched by an international and up-and-coming brand in Germany that will accompany Düsseldorf customers on their travels in style. We were particularly impressed by the diverse, innovative design of the products.”
