H&H Group to showcase China-focused wellness brand portfolio at Virtual travel Retail Expo

China-focus: H&H Group generated RMB5.17 billion (US$758 million) revenues in the first half of 2020 with 82.6% of that from China

Global health and wellness company H&H Group is showcasing its Swisse, Biostime and Aurelia Probiotic Skincare brands at the upcoming Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo.

H&H Group is a Silver Partner of the pioneering virtual event, where it will be exhibiting in #Virtual Stand BT-G4.

Swisse — a range of vitamins and supplements for both men and women — will feature the Bones & Joints, Gut Health and Beauty from the Inside Out lines.

Organic pediatric nutrition brand Biostime will highlight its Children’s Probiotics, Organic Infant Formula and Goat Nutrition ranges; while bio-organic skincare brand Aurelia Probiotic Skincare will shine the light on its Miracle Cleanser and Probiotic Concentrate.

H&H Group’s portfolio has performed particularly well with Chinese consumers. The company reported RMB 5.17 billion (US$ 758 million) revenues in the first half of 2020, with 82.6% coming from the Chinese market. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong, China and operates in 14 markets around the world.

H&H Group’s portfolio of ‘premium and aspirational brands’ is bolstered by a communication strategy that leans on the star power of like-minded international celebrities. Australian actor Chris Hemsworth and Australian superstar Nicole Kidman have been named as Swisse’s global ambassadors; while Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is the global brand ambassador for Biostime. All three ambassadors embody the same health and wellness values of H&H Group, said the company.

According to H&H Group Global Travel Retail Manager Jose Vera, Swiss and Biostime have a particularly high brand awareness among Chinese consumers. Vera said that all three brands have great growth potential for Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas travel retail.

He said: “Swisse — which specialises in vitamins, supplements and natural skincare — is China’s top ecommerce brand for nutrition and health food and Australia’s leading health and wellness brand, while Biostime is the world’s no.1 pediatric probiotics brand.

Swisse first gained popularity with Chinese consumers in 2015. The brand was initially launched in Chinese travel retail through China Duty Free Group and expanded to South Korea where it is currently listed with Lotte Duty Free, Shinsegae Duty Free and The Shilla Duty Free.

Swisse made its travel retail debut in China through CDFG. It then launched into South Korean travel retail with Lotte Duty Free, Shinsegae Duty Free and The Shilla Duty Free

Vera added, “We are currently working with travel retail partners across Greater China, Korea, Singapore and Australia, and planning on entering India, the GCC and Thailand in the coming year. In addition to Swisse, we are delighted to now be introducing our Biostime and Aurelia Probiotic Skincare brands and products to the travel retail channel.

“In addition to children’s probiotics, Biostime has a range of organic pediatric nutrition and goat nutrition products combining the power of nature and science for the next generation. Biostime’s organic nutrition range uses milk from Normandy, France. It is specifically made from Normande cows, which produce some of the world’s most high-quality organic milk and have a unique combination of prebiotics and probiotics, supporting gut health and immunity.”
