HMSHost awarded Corporate Partnership Award for community work

US. Leading restaurateur HMSHost has been honoured with the Interfaith Works Corporate Partnership Award for its community efforts in Montgomery County.

HMSHost has partnered with non-profit organisation Interfaith Works on community initiatives since 2012, donating and sourcing clothing, donating food from the corporate test kitchen, holding cookouts at Interfaith Works facilities and hosting drives for school supplies. The company also runs an annual Angel Tree event which sees HMSHost associates purchase and deliver gifts from the wish lists of economically vulnerable children.

HMSHost Senior Manager of Human Resources Gina Smith and Rewards & Recognition Specialist Haia Perlmutter accepted the award at the 18th Annual Companies Caring Breakfast in Bethesda this week.

HMSHost President and CEO Steve Johnson said: “As a long-time member of the Montgomery County community, HMSHost could not think of a more vital organisation to support than Interfaith Works.

“Many of our associates not only work in Montgomery County, but they also live here, and being able to show compassion for our fellow citizens by partnering with Interfaith Works and supporting their remarkable efforts is a fulfilling endeavour on many levels. It is a great honour, and we are humbled to receive this award from them for our efforts in the community.”
