HMSHost introduces ‘the beauty of wine’ to Charlotte Douglas Airport

US. HMSHost this week celebrated the grand opening of Beaudevin wine bar at Charlotte Douglas International Airport’s Main Terminal Atrium.

Beaudevin – a concept dedicated to “˜the beauty of wine’ – offers over 30 varieties of red, white and sparkling wines in a setting designed to evoke the heart of Europe. Travellers can also dine on small plates of Melon & Prosciutto, Charcuterie and Feta Meze, and tartines including Capicola & Mozzarella and Scottish Smoked Salmon.

“We are very pleased to bring Beaudevin to our customers here in Charlotte,” said Charlotte Douglas International Airport Director of Aviation Jerry Orr. “This is an exciting addition to the wide selection of restaurants HMSHost has brought to our airport.”

HMSHost Vice President, Business Development Stephen Douglas added: “We created Beaudevin as a place where travellers can experience fine wine and delicious cuisine while still feeling relaxed, in an informal, European-inspired atmosphere.

“Reminiscent of a château cellar, Beaudevin puts the beauty back into travelling. We are very excited to partner with Charlotte Douglas International Airport to make the Charlotte traveller’s day better.”

HMSHost employs more than 900 staff in nearly 40 restaurants at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Beaudevin joins several other new restaurants at the North Carolina airport, including Ciao Gourmet Market, Hissho Sushi, Pinkberry, and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.

The Beaudevin outlet at Brussels Airport was named “˜Best wine-led bar offer’ at The Moodie Report’s 2011 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Awards.
