HMSHost launches gastropub Pork & Pickle at Montréal Airport

CANADA. HMSHost has opened a Pork & Pickle restaurant at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport Domestic Terminal.

The gastropub and BBQ restaurant smokes all meats on the menu on-site in an all-natural wood fire smoker.

Pork & Pickle’s pub environment reflects a mix of French countryside bistro and a southern smokehouse atmosphere

Pork & Pickle’s menu features locally-inspired favourites with a BBQ spin, such as the Plate Smoked Brisket Poutine with cheese curds and gravy or the Montreal Style Smoked Meat piled on rye with mustard. Other dishes include smoked pork spare ribs and a Cobb salad. Draft beers from Québec and other local Canadian breweries are offered.

The Pork & Pickle eatery features floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac, a rustic back bar and reclaimed woods.

HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas said: “We are thrilled to bring this HMSHost exclusive restaurant concept to Montreal travellers, offering them authentic Southern-style barbecue in a great atmosphere. Through our partnership with Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, Pork & Pickle’s opening further enhances and showcases the airport’s recent dining upgrades.”

Aéroports de Montréal Vice-President, Real Estate and Commercial Services Charles Gratton commented: “The new Pork & Pickle restaurant opened very recently but is already a hit for our passengers. This new restaurant, part of our recently revamped commercial offering in the domestic area, provides our passengers with a unique combination of southern-style and typical Montreal flavours, and delights smoked on-site in our very own low temperature food smoker, quite a rarity in an airport environment.”

HMSHost has two other Pork & Pickle locations in North America, one at Kansas City International Airport and the other at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
