Hong Kong International Airport launches pre-flight online shopping service

With more passengers relying on digital services throughout their travel journeys, Hong Kong Airport is reaching them through new and innovative means

HONG KONG, CHINA. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has launched an online shopping offer that allows travellers to pre-order from a wide selection of global luxury brands from the airport’s Luxury Zone.

The Luxury Concierge service features 16 brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Bvlgari, Chaumet, Gucci, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Jimmy Choo, Loro Piana, Panerai, Piaget, Tiffany & Co, Tory Burch, Tumi, and Versace, with more to join.

To help travellers shop and reserve their orders, the concierge team connects customers to brand representatives via WhatsApp, WeChat and video call. Orders made through the service will be ready for pickup in 90 minutes or more at the store, or at the boarding gates.

Orders can also be delivered to the homes of shoppers. On the purchase of HK$1,000 (US$128) or more, the service offers free local and global delivery to as many as 15 destinations on purchases of HK$2,500 (US$318) or more in a single transaction.

Additionally, HKAirport Rewards members can earn 2x points and a rebate of up to 12% on all selected purchases. Members will also receive a HK$100 (US$13) Airport Coupon as a welcome gift. This promotion runs until 7 May. ✈
