Hong Kong International extends delivery service for Asian shoppers

HONG KONG. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) launches its big summer shopping promotion on 15 July.

To coincide with the campaign, from 1 August the airport will extend its free delivery service to six new countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The delivery offer applies to customers who spend HK$2,500 or more in a single transaction.

Already, Hong Kong travellers spending more than HK$1,000 in a single transaction at HKIA are offered complimentary local delivery service. Free delivery service to the Mainland, Macau and Taiwan is also available to travellers who spend more than HK$2,500 on clothing, bags and accessories in a single transaction.

From 15 July to 31 August, travellers spending over HK$5,000 by electronic payment can redeem HKIA Cash Coupons worth up to HK$5,200. Travellers who purchase with their UnionPay cards can also benefit from rewards.

During the promotional period, HKIA is partnering with retailers to provide shopping and dining offers, as well a selection of complimentary gifts. Travellers can find out more by scanning the QR code on the promotion materials or visiting the airport website.

HKIA plans other activities for the campaign too. Dressed in a summer costume, HKIA’s mascot will greet and take instant photos with travellers at Terminal 1. Travellers can also enjoy music performances in the shopping area at the Departures East Hall.

From 1 August, passengers with boarding passes and any same-day purchase receipt from HKIA can participate in various games at a number of interactive booths. Prizes include HKIA Cash Coupons worth up to HK$500.
