CHINA. Cognac house Hennessy has opened a new ‘House of Hennessy’ flagship boutique at the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza.
The grand duplex store is the first of its kind globally and marks the third House of Hennessy opening in Hainan.
The store is strategically located next to the yacht marina, offering beautiful coastal views and a luxury shopping experience for Cognac shoppers.
The elegant boutique features a sleek black, white and gold colour palette. A grand spiral staircase is the centrepiece of the space. Behind it is a two-storey digital screen that tells the story of the maison through evocative visuals.
A circular bar greets shoppers at the entrance and highlights the limited-edition Hennessy x Kim Jones bottle. As reported, the collaboration was designed by Dior Menswear Creative Director Kim Jones and features a limited-edition bottle, sneaker and masterpiece decanter. The Moodie Davitt Report was also on location for the global launch of the collection in London.
At the bar in the CNSC store, travellers can also enjoy specially crafted Hennessy X.O Chocolate Lull signature cocktails.
The store offers the full range of Hennessy products alongside interactive elements that help shoppers discover the brand.
In addition, the flagship offers a range of luxury services including Hennessy’s Art of Gifting, Hennessy Hands engraving services and a VIP Lounge dedicated to the Editions Rares collection.
The Art of Gifting offers a range of personalised accessories for Hennessy X.X.O including Hainan-themed charms that were inspired by the region’s popular Phoenix island. The charms feature a sunny beach design to evoke Hainan’s distinctive Sense of Place.
Hennessy Hands enables shoppers to engrave leather accessories for the Hennessy Paradis expression. The leather accessories are fitted to the neck of the bottle and were inspired by the art of barrel making and by the wooden hoops that encircle the maison’s barrels.
Shoppers can personalise their Hennessy Paradis bottles with their initials in gold, silver or bronze.
The VIP Lounge showcases the pinnacle of Hennessy’s portfolio, the Editions Rares Collection. This line represents the finest and most exceptional expressions in the House’s extensive library, housed in the Founder’s Cellar in Cognac, France.
The VIP Lounge is a haven for Cognac collectors, where they can discover rare blends such as the Richard Hennessy, Hennessy Paradis, and Edition Particulière. The VIP Lounge is open to select VIP customers for consultations and tastings.
The opening was attended by executives from Moët Hennessy Travel Retail and CNSC. At the opening, guests were invited to experience the flagship’s luxury services themselves and discover Hennessy’s luxury Cognac world.
