HTDF makes high-profile return to 5th Hainan Expo with multisensory lifestyle showcase

CHINA. Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex (HTDF) is once again participating in the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) to be held in Haikou (13-18 April), the capital city of Hainan Province.

HTDF’s exhibition space showcases a curated selection of popular global brands across various categories, delivering an immersive lifestyle experience

China’s second-largest duty-free retailer, operated by Hainan Tourism Investment Duty Free Co., will transform the exhibition space (2C02 Hall 2) into a multisensory pavilion, merging smart technology, whisky culture, high-end fashion collections and premium beauty experiences.

The Smart Technology zone will showcase augmented-reality eyewear innovations from TCL’s Rayneo, Meizu Flyme AR and LAWK One, alongside premium sunglasses from Celine, Dior, Gucci, Miumiu and Givenchy.

A dedicated spirits section will offer guided tastings of ten exclusive single malt whiskies, including selections from Claxton’s, Kilchoman and Springbank.

Key highlights at HTDF’s exhibition space will include fashion showcases, notably the Hainan debut of Kiton’s spring/summer 2025 collection, featuring the Italian brand’s signature artisanal craftsmanship.

HTDF’s beauty section will feature full-range skincare solutions from major global brands, such as Estée Lauder, Shiseido and Cellcosmet, complete with interactive fragrance stations.

Visitors can enjoy tech-driven interactive experiences, premium spirits tastings and access exclusive promotions during the event.

The retailer will also roll out coordinated promotions such as limited-time flash sales (available both online and offline), spend-to-redeem gift offers, exclusive coupons for new members and special perks for Hainan Expo ticket holders.

HTDF is leveraging its participation at this high-profile expo to expand international partnerships as part of its ongoing ‘duty-free+’ innovation strategy in travel retail, introducing new business models, crafting immersive retail environments and enhancing the customer experience.🏝️
