Hudson Group appoints Tom Waldron to drive expansion in airport dining

NORTH AMERICA. Dufry-owned Hudson Group has named Tom Waldron (pictured) as Senior Vice President, Food and Beverage. He joins the company from ISS America, where he served as Division Vice President, Aviation.

Waldron brings more than 20 years of experience in food and beverage operations and business development in North America, at companies including SSP America and HMSHost, with a focus on full-service restaurants and contract food service operations.

Hudson Group aims to build on its strong speciality and convenience store presence in North America with expansion in food & beverage.

In his early career, Waldron worked for popular casual dining brands like Ruby Tuesday and Charlie Browns. In 1999, he began working for Restaurant Associates (RA) where he later developed several proprietary food and beverage programmes and led teams across various lines of business including the PGA Tour, United States Tennis Association National Tennis Center, and the Olympics.

In 2004, he joined Aramark to manage its flagship account, Goldman Sachs. He also managed a portfolio of Aramark’s premium contracts and directed day-to-day operations across five states.

In 2008, Waldron joined HMSHost as Director of Restaurant Development, later joining SSP America in 2010 as Vice President, Business Development.
