USA. Travel experience company Hudson, part of Avolta, has launched a campaign at its California airport locations to support communities affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
Until 28 February, travellers are encouraged to round up their purchases to contribute to the Journey for Good Foundation, the company’s charitable arm in North America.
Proceeds will go directly to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and World Central Kitchen, organisations delivering emergency food, shelter and essential services to those impacted.
The retailer is also offering a discount in its stores at airports including Los Angeles International, Ontario International and Hollywood Burbank through January to first responders on the frontlines.
In a social media post, Hudson said: “As the devastating wildfires continue to impact the Los Angeles community, our hearts go out to all those affected – our team members, partners, first responders and everyone touched by this tragedy. Los Angeles is more than just a community we serve; it is a part of who we are, and we stand united with our neighbours during this time of need.” ✈
