INDIA. Hyderabad Duty Free has announced a tie-up with the American Telugu Association (ATA), giving members access to exclusive discounts at its arrivals and departures stores at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The promotional scheme comes as part of Hyderabad Duty Free’s ‘customer connect’ programme to reach out to the Telugu diaspora residing in the USA.

ATA members will receive a discount of up to -15% over and above the regular discounts and offers running in the stores. In Arrivals, members will get an additional discount of -10% and -15% on every purchase above US$100 and US$250 respectively.
At the Departures store, members will get an additional discount of -7.5% and -10% on purchases above US$50 and US$100 respectively.
The discounts are applicable on the entire range of products at Hyderabad Duty Free and are also available to travelling family members (spouse and children) along with the main member.
The customer connect programme will also include periodic communication on duty free products and round the year events and promotional activities happening at Hyderabad Duty Free.

The scheme was formally announced by ATA Founder Hanmanth Reddy in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana State Mohammed Mahmood Ali; Consul General of India at Chicago Dr Ausaf Sayeed; and Telangana Association of North America President Iftekhar Shareef during an ATA meeting in Chicago, USA.
Hyderabad Duty Free Chairman SGK Kishore said: “Hyderabad Duty Free represents the city of Hyderabad and the entire region. We have recently started our initiative to further strengthen our relationship with key customer segments under the ‘Mana Hyderabad…Mana Duty Free’ programme.
“Our association with the members of the American Telugu Association is a major initiation in this regard through which we would like members to make Hyderabad Duty Free their preferred shopping destination while travelling.”
ATA is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1990. It aims to assist and promote literary, cultural, educational, religious, social, economic, health and community activities of people of Telugu origin. It also promotes exchange programmes for students, scientists, and professionals of Telugu origin between the USA, Canada and India and other countries.
