UK. Ian Macleod Distillers is showcasing Tamdhu and Glengoyne single malt whiskies at Edinburgh Airport in what the distiller says is its largest ever airport activation.
Taking place in Dufry’s World Duty Free store at Scotland’s busiest airport, the activation introduces consumers to travel retail exclusives from the Tamdhu and Glengoyne brands through a feature wall, two tasting areas and two bespoke GWPs.
Ian Macleod Distillers Whisky Experiential Ambassador Gordon Dallas is also on hand for the duration of the activation, sharing his extensive knowledge of Scotch whisky.

The activation introduces travellers to Ámbar 14 Year Old, Gran Reserva First Edition and Single Cask from the Tamdhu range. The Single Cask is an exclusive release for World Duty Free at Edinburgh Airport, with only 597 bottles available.
The Glengoyne Spirit of Oak Collection is a travel retail exclusive being showcased at the activation and consists of two expressions: Cuartillo and Balbaína. The Glengoyne Pedro Xíménez Cask Finish and 28 Year Old are also being promoted.
Travellers spending over £50 (US$63.57) will receive a box of handmade chocolates from award-winning truffle maker Iain Burnett – The Highland Chocolatier; these have been specially selected to complement Glengoyne’s Spirit of Oak expression.
Ian Macleod Distillers Travel Retail Director William Ovens said: “We are delighted to work in partnership with World Duty Free on this fine showcase for our travel retail exclusive single malt whisky portfolio.
“This is the first time we have delivered such a large-scale airport activation focused on our malt whisky range and are delighted with the opportunity to introduce more shoppers to the outstanding expressions our Master Distillers have created. [The] initial reaction from consumers has been extremely encouraging.”
