Ice-Watch fashions a flagship store in watch capital Geneva

The 20sq m Ice-Watch flagship store in Geneva opened in November

Belgian fashion watch brand Ice-Watch has opened a flagship store in Geneva, the world’s watch-making capital.

Brand owner Ice SA opened the store in the heart of the Swiss city’s watch-making district on November 22.

The 20sq m space is said to embody the “youthful, complex-free” spirit of the brand, while confirming its ambition to rank among the leaders in its market.

The Ice-Watch brand, created in 2007 by the Belgian entrepreneur Jean-Pierre Lutgen, offers on-trend watches at affordable prices. The sporty-chic silicon cases and straps come in a wide range of colours that revisit the codes of classical styles, the company said.

Wearers can change their watches to refine their look depending on their mood, age and style.

Having sold over 9 million watches and opened 12,000 sales outlets in more than 100 countries, and new flagship stores scheduled for opening in 2013, Ice SA seeks to establish a position as a new player in the fashionable watch sector.

This year, the brand has sold almost 5 million watches, mostly in France and Germany.

The company also supplies other colour-coded accessories, such as Ice-Clocks and Ice-Phones with a
revisited retro look.

“We are very proud that today we can show once more that we are capable of entrepreneurship in a saturated and rather conservative market, such as the watch market, in times of crisis,” said Ice-Watch CEO Lutgen.
