French beauty brand Lancôme has debuted the new marketing campaign for its Idôle fragrance. The campaign stars Lancôme Global Brand Ambassador Zendaya Coleman and will be supported by major events across travel retail from September onwards.
As reported, Idôle was launched into travel retail on 22 August in refillable formats at 25ml, 50ml and 75ml. The bottle was designed by Chafik Gasmi and is one of the slimmest in the world at just 15mm.
The campaign imagery was shot by fashion photographers Mert and Marcus and reflects the golden blush colour palette of the Idôle bottle and the campaign film was directed by Manu Cossu.
According to Lancôme Global Brand President Françoise Lehmann, the fragrance is a response to changing perspectives on femininity and a representation of a new kind of success. He said: “Lancôme imagines its new great fragrance in the wake of this contemporary femininity. Lancôme is pursuing its dream of celebrating women and accompanying them on their journey to happiness.”
“Idôle is the perfume of this conquering femininity.”
Idôle is a floral chypre fragrance designed by three pioneering female perfumers from three different continents. Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina, and Nadège Le Garlantezec have created a scent that celebrates Lancôme’s vision of ‘contemporary femininity’ and was designed to appeal to a new generation of Lancôme women.
Idôle was made with heart notes of sustainably-sourced Isparta rose petal essence and centifolia rose, top notes of Indian jasmine grandiflorum, and grounded with traces of patchouli and white musks.
