Today is Qatar National Day and, as reported, Qatar Duty Free and Hamad International Airport have partnered to mark the occasion with a vibrant showcase of Qatari culture. The day will be particularly celebrated in Qatar this year as the country continues to display remarkable resilience against the blockade imposed by several neighbouring Arab countries.

As well as a -20% discount on shopping and dining, the celebrations at the airport showcase the culture of the nation, with everything from ‘Ardha’ sword dancing performances to sampling of local delicacies.

With various activations running until the end of December, the programme offers travellers a window onto the rich culture of Qatar, sharing its hospitality, art, entertainment, cuisine and local products
