Image of the Day: Changi Airport welcomes Harry Potter, Groot and Batman in #FunkoPop debut

SINGAPORE. Today’s image selection comes straight from Singapore Changi Airport where pop culture collectibles company Funko has unveiled life-sized statues of Harry Potter, Groot, Batman and other legendary characters. The American company is renowned for its vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. 

This is Funko’s first-ever experiential store in Southeast Asia. The activation is located at Changi Airport Terminal 2 and will remain there until 29 February. 

The Funko animation at Changi Airport Terminal 3 invites travellers to embrace the fun and nostalgia of pop culture

Travellers can capture Instagram-worthy moments with their beloved pop culture legends at the activation. They can also browse Funko’s merchandise including Funko Pop! figurines spanning countless genres, fandoms and characters. 

The Groot statue is placed against an immersive Guardians of the Galaxy spacecraft backdrop

The space also showcases vegan bags from Funko-owned Loungefly which crafts pop culture-themed backpacks, wallets, apparel and accessories. Visitors can use #funko and #funkopop while sharing their Funko-filled adventures on social media. ✈
