Until recently, this daily feature offered a regular snapshot of vibrant scenes, moments, launches and campaigns from the global aviation and travel retail sphere. More recently, as the COVID-19 crisis has escalated, those images have become few and far between. Today’s choice gives us a glimpse of what air travel may look like in a post-COVID area. Could this be the new normal for cabin crew?
Southeast Asian carriers Philippine Airlines and AirAsia have previewed their own branded sets of Protective Personal Equipment (PPEs) for cabin crew. Both designs reflect each company’s colours and key motifs, while also giving cabin crew members ample protection and functionality.
Philippine Airlines’s cabin crew PPEs were designed by Filipino Fashion Designer Edwin Tan; while Air Asia’s cabin crew PPEs were designed by Los Angeles-based Fashion Designer Puey Quinones.
