Image of the Day: SSP America champions its ‘passion culture’

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

USA. We love stories about how the people on the front line of our industry are making a difference and today’s choice of image reflects that.

SSP America posted this shot online of a group of new team members going through orientation, learning how to pass on the company’s ‘passion culture’ in their day to day roles across a whole range of departments from safety to IT to accounting, operations and of course cooking.

The image chimes with the continued popularity of our online column (Travel Retail and F&B Superstars) dedicated to recognising people in our industry – frontline, back office, logistics, management and more – for their commitment, kindness and achievements.

That column is a key component in the lead up to this year’s Travel Retail Superstars Awards and FAB Superstars Awards.

The first deadline to watch for is 5 April, when the nomination period for the FAB Superstars Awards and the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards closes. Nominating parties can submit entries on our dedicated website.

The world’s only event dedicated solely to the airport food & beverage and hospitality sectors makes a welcome return to the US in June. Please contact The Moodie Davitt Report Associate Director, Events Vincci Chung at Vincci@MoodieDavittReport.com for details. You can visit the event website here
