Today’s image selection highlights a fascinating bespoke customisation event at Avolta-run Perth Duty Free, where travellers had the opportunity to turn their Lark Whisky (Tasmania), The Aromantiques wine (from Taylors Wines) and Strange Nature (the New Zealand gin brand and sponsor of our Strange Predictions competition) purchases into works of art.
As reported, Avolta has extended its duty-free contract at the Western Australian gateway until 2031.
Perth-based artist Floryntina Majalang painted florals on the bottles, drawing attention from passengers eager to bring home not just an expression but a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
The initiative, held in December, highlighted Perth Duty Free’s commitment to creating immersive and engaging experiences for its customers.

The wines and spirits in question are not travel retail-exclusives in the normal sense of the term. But they have become so through the ingenious addition of personalised art created on the spot, adding a lovely experiential moment to the shopper’s experience.
