MIDDLE EAST. Today’s images (and video), drawn from the travel retail and aviation community, celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, the most important feast in the Muslim calendar.

This festival is celebrated throughout the Muslim world as a commemoration of Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, for Allah SWT [at the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram].

‘Eid Mubarak’ is the traditional phrase used by Muslims to greet each other during the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha celebrations.
