Images of the Day: ‘WOWS’ factors aplenty as World of Wines & Spirits by Changi Airport in partnership with Lotte Duty Free is unveiled

SINGAPORE. Today’s images showcase the dazzling World of Wines and Spirits (WOWS) signature event hosted at the National Gallery of Singapore last night (12 October) by Changi Airport Group in partnership with Lotte Duty Free {look out for our full report and more on The Moodie Blog this week}.

The evening, the second such event on consecutive nights at the venue, was themed ‘Artistic Alchemy of Wines & Spirits’. It offered a dazzling visual, culinary and of course drinks experience at the esteemed venue.

The two-night celebration is part of the wider WOWS event, which runs from September through December.

An outstanding curation of more than 100 fine wines and rare spirits from more than 66 brands is on offer in the third edition of WOWS.

Among the featured artists last night was Singapore-born Tan Zi Xi, also known as MessyMsxi, who showcased a dome projection of lush grapevines, symbolising the winemaking journey.

Many outstanding and rare spirits and wine were beautifully showcased. And as the sign shows, advance business has been brisk.

More about WOWS 2024

The collection features premium selections from renowned vineyards and distilleries, available for purchase through the WOWS online platform.

A WOWS Private Sales event, exclusively curated for wine & spirits aficionados,  took place on 5 October, offering a rare preview of selected items.

Highlights from the 2024 WOWS Catalogue 

Highland Park 54 Year Old. This limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky is a tribute to the 225-year history of Highland Park Distillery. It features a specially designed decanter and packaging, inspired by the ancient geological layers of the Cliffs of Yesnaby to reflect the region’s 400-million-year geological history. Only one bottle is available exclusively at WOWS for S$73,000 (US$56,559).
The Macallan Horizon is a collaboration between The Macallan and Bentley Motors. Featuring a horizontal design, The Macallan Horizon deviates from traditional vertical whisky bottle aesthetics, inspired by the horizontal trajectory of the automotive world, honouring the heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors while looking towards the future. Only one bottle is available exclusively at WOWS for S$66,800 (US$51,725).
Hibiki 40 Year Old highlights an aged expression that embodies a blossoming of experience, marked by delicacy, freshness, agility and confidence. Limited bottles are available at WOWS for S$60,000 (US$46,453)
Talisker 30 Year Old captures the spirit of the Isley of Skye’s rugged, coastal environment. Twelve bottles are available exclusively at WOWS for S$2,200 (US$1,703). 
L’Or de Jean Martell 1715 Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Serpent is a premium Cognac celebrating the 2025 Year of the Snake. This exclusive release features a distinctive blend inspired by the zodiac animal. This bottle, featuring the auspicious number 88, is available through WOWS exclusive for S$15,000 (US$11,614)
