The “˜World’s Best Duty Free’ accolade from Business Traveller is Incheon International Airport’s third consecutive award since 2011 |
SOUTH KOREA. Incheon International Airport has been recognised at the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards 2013 as the “˜World’s Best Duty Free’ for the third consecutive year.
Organised by Business Traveller magazine, the awards are based on a three-month global survey conducted from April among airport travellers both online and offline, and acknowledges the overall excellence of Incheon’s Airstar Avenue duty free shopping complex.
According to Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), Airstar Avenue was lauded for its “superb shopping environment”, as well as its ability to leverage the global “˜Korean Wave’ by showcasing a number of popular Korean brands and shops plus diverse attractions exclusive to the country. It was also recognised for the Korea Traditional Cultural Experience Center, which provides visitors with a programme of cultural events throughout the year.
Incheon International Airport Corporation President Chung Chang-soo said: “This year’s award is especially meaningful for us as it shares the view of worldwide travellers. We will make sure to continue [our efforts] as “˜World’s Best Duty Free’ by providing excellent services that boost our shopping complex.”
In January this year, Airstar Avenue was also named “˜Best Duty-Free in the World’ for three consecutive years by Business Traveler US.
