INDIA. The India Duty Free Workshop kicked off this evening with an opening cocktail courtesy of Jack Daniels.
About 150 delegates, including key players from Alpha Asia, Flemingo Duty Free, India Tourism Development Corporation and The Nuance Group, mingled at the lush lawns of Le Meridien hotel in Cochin.
Some also boogied into the night at a disco sponsored by Cadbury and Jose Cuervo. Topics including Cochin Airport’s success story, as well as an overview of the travel retail business in India will be discussed tomorrow.
