“Throughout 2023, domestic routes still dominated compared to international routes,” said Angkasa Pura Airports Managing Director Indah Preastuty. “However, international routes experienced a very high growth spurt in 2023 compared to 2022.”

Aircraft movements rose +10% year-on-year to 608,549, 520,818 on domestic routes and 87,731 (+144%) international.

Indah Preastuty added, “The traffic growth at 15 AngkasaPura Airports airports throughout 2023 continues the positive trend in 2022, as well as continuing the recovery of the company’s performance after the decline in performance due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020.

“By reaching 69.8 million passengers throughout 2023 we have succeeded in meeting the target we set at the beginning of the year, so this is an achievement in itself for AngkasaPura Airports.”

She said the strong passenger traffic growth was driven by many airlines reactivating and opening new routes at AngkasaPura airports. ✈
