EUROPE. Inflight Service Europe AB (IFS) and TUI Airlines Belgium NV, trading as Jetairfly, have signed an agreement covering the inflight retail activities onboard Jetairfly’s 20 aircraft starting from late October 2012.
The companies said that the cooperation is in line with their “continuous drive to further develop and excel in retail activities to maximise passenger satisfaction and net profit from the retailing operation”.
Inflight Service Europe AB CEO Björn Ulfberg commented: “We are extremely pleased to have reached this agreement with Jetairfly for several reasons. First, the fact that such an innovative and qualitative airline as Jetairfly has chosen IFS as its partner proves that our inflight retailing skills are world class and highly valued. We are also pleased to expand our cooperation with the TUI group outside of the Nordics where we have had a very long and mutually beneficial relationship.
“Furthermore, this is a milestone in that this contract represents our first step outside the Nordics, in line with our expansion strategy, and very importantly a stepping stone for further development in the near future,” Ulfberg added.
Jetairfly Director of Business Performance and Contracting Rogier Polderman added: “Jetairfly is always looking for innovative and successful developments in all areas of our company. Therefore we are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Inflight Service as we believe the cooperation will bring forth a new level of retailing skills and profit to us.
“Inflight Service has a great and proven track record of driving inflight sales in the Nordics and we are convinced the cooperation will result in the same onboard our planes. We are eager to work with Inflight Service to further develop our offering and hope to transform our business in a very positive way for our passengers through this partnership.”
