The pre-order concept pioneered by Inflight Service has been hugely successful in the Nordic region for the last 25 years and was introduced to the Belgian market with Jetairfly in November 2013. The latest carrier in this pre-order network, Arke, carries 1.4 million passengers per year.
According to Inflight Service, the pre-order concept contains the following attributes:
*Pro-active and consumer relevant communication to the passengers via e-mail, mailed and dynamic web shop;
*A wide assortment consisting of around 800+ items from traditional travel retail product categories to selected local/Dutch brands;
*Delivery guarantee to assure that ordered items always are available;
*All items delivered to the passenger’s seat;
*Flexible payment methods;
*The option to shop for delivery on both out- and homebound travel;
Arke will continue to operate the onboard retail programme in-house.
