BELGIUM. Inflight Service and Jetairfly are to introduce a pre-order service on board the carrier’s aircraft, which the concessionaire said was a first for Belgium. The service has an estimated launch date of 15 November 2013.
Inflight Service said: “The pre-order concept is and has been hugely successful in the Nordics for the last 25 years and will now for the first time be presented to customers in mainland Europe. It will initially be presented to some 1.4 million Jetairfly passengers per year.”
Inflight Service has operated Jetairfly’s inflight retail business since last October. Jetairfly is a member of the TUI Group.
Inflight Service noted the following attributes for pre-order:
*Pro-active communication to the passengers via e-mails, text messages, catalogue sent home and a web shop allowing for a convenient shopping experience before travel;
*A wide assortment consisting of around 800+ leading items from the major travel retail product categories combined with selected local/Belgian brands
*Delivery guarantee to assure that ordered items always are available
*All items delivered to the passenger’s seat
*Flexible payment methods
*Possibility to shop for delivery on both outward and homebound travel
