Inter Parfums lives fragrant La Vie de Bohème with Anna Sui

At last month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, Inter Parfums unveiled La Vie de Bohème, the new feminine fragrance from Anna Sui. The reveal took place during a cocktail party at the Majestic, attended by Sui herself.

She explained: “The La Vie de Bohème lifestyle always evolves, but the constant remains the same. And that is always a woman who is a bit defiant, a bit romantic, a bit artistic. In essence, it’s truly the modern woman. Yes, the signature look may be mixed patterns, flowing dresses, boots, floppy hats, but every generation brings its own attitude to it, a unique expression of personal style.”

The fragrance concept centres around an unconventional romantic adventurer: curious, creative and a lover of travel. The scent aims to encapsulate this Bohemian style and spirit.

The juice was composed by Drom’s Philippe Romano. It opens on notes of rose, pear, berries and a Dragonfruit accord. The floral heart features peony to represent “good luck, feminine beauty, and friendship,” according to the brand. The dry-down includes woods, musks, and a black vanilla/sandalwood accord.

The product line-up comprises 30ml, 50ml and 75ml edts, a 200ml body lotion and a 200ml shower gel.

The La Vie de Bohème fragrance flacon is carved with roses, and reveals the lavender-coloured juice within. The cap, finished in antique gold, bears Anna Sui’s name on one side, and La Vie de Bohème on the other. It is topped with a gold-coloured butterfly.

The outer carton was inspired by Sui’s textures and prints, and aims to evoke a brocade effect. The colour-scheme is a shimmering deep purple, offset by lighter swirls of lavender, accented with butterflies and roses in a vibrant red.

Photographed by Steven Meisel, the ad campaign depicts model Thairine Garcia clad in boho chic, reclining in a field of flowers, playing with a butterfly.
