UK. Starting 3 May, Isle of Barra Distillers will introduce its Barra Atlantic Gin and Island Dark Rum at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen International airports in Scotland.
As reported, premium drinks company SipWell Brands entered an exclusive distribution agreement last year with the family-run distillery.
Isle of Barra Distillers noted: “This marks the first time a distillery from the Outer Hebrides will be available through travel retail, highlighting the progress and growth of our ambitious team.”
Further roll-outs are in the pipeline for key airports across England, including London Heathrow and Gatwick.
Construction is underway on Isle of Barra Distillers’ single malt whisky distillery, expected to open in late 2026. The company described the project as a long-term investment in the island’s future.
