US. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey will be celebrating its founder’s birthday at the TFWA World Exhibition this month with two parties hosted by parent company Brown-Forman and brand partner Goldkenn.
The exact date of birth of Jack Daniel (pictured above) is unknown, owing to a town fire that destroyed the courthouse records at Lynchburg, but it has become customary to celebrate his birthday throughout September.

Goldkenn will pay tribute to Mr Jack with a specially created Tennessee Whiskey birthday cake on 20 September (Tuesday) from 13:00 – 14:30 on its stand (Riviera Village RC7).
The Jack Daniel’s Birthday Bash organised by Brown-Forman Duty Free is set for 21 September (Wednesday) from 16:30 – 18:00 on its stand (Green Village M70).
In addition to Jack Daniel’s libations, there will be a raffle for a Jack Daniel’s guitar signed by American country rock music star Zac Brown, an opportunity to toast Jack online, as well as a chance to sample the new Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey.
Other activities on the Brown-Forman stand will include the roll-out of Finlandia Platinum, the brand’s long-awaited entry into the super-premium vodka sector, and a cocktail making contest: The Woodford Reserve Mint Julep Challenge. Participants in the challenge will attempt to make a traditional Mint Julep as quickly as possible, and compete for a sterling silver Mint Julep Cup and sipping straw from Tiffany & Co. All participants in the Woodford Reserve Mint Julep Challenge will receive an engraved Cannes 2011 pewter Julep Cup as long as supplies last.
Brown-Forman and Jack Daniel’s will once again be hosting the Travel Retail Business Blues Night on Wednesday at Morrison’s Irish Pub (10 rue Teisseire).
